Yellow? I see black, white, and grey... As to not being a Spit what would it be? I don’t think they manufactured a generic trainer did they? However there are a few Harvard trainers around here though.
That's funny, I always considered you Canucks to be honorary (American spelling, NOT British influenced) Washingtonians, except we say "Zee", and you say "Zed", but other than that, we're brothers from different Mothers! Oh, I forgot... you have Looneys in your pocket, we have 'em in Washington D.C.
Same mother; England, who we got along with. LOL There is some evidence that the zee” pronunciation was in effect in England in a very small region. I presume they were “encouraged” to emigrate.
Sorry.. my mistake.. I was looking at the color pic below the B/W one.. the yellow trainer... and THEN,....I looked at the pic above it doh!
I didn't find the picture of the trainer, but I'm looking at a pic of my brother-in-law on my wall, standing in front of his yellow Stearman trainer (which I think that pic must be of), just as he was graduating flight school. Then it was off to training for duty in a P-38. Can you imagine a 19 year old kid jumping into a rcoket like that? Like going from a Prius to a new Corvette!
@Fitnessguy , you mentioned going "across the line" a few posts back, and I went "Huh?", then realized we do the same thing here but always say, "Across the river". The river is the imaginary border line.
http://ontariowarmemorials.blogspot.com/2019/03/smiths-falls-harvard.html?m=1 ...And one more from that day I was reflecting in Smiths Falls... I never stop remembering...
I'm not sure if you noticed the links I placed in the post representing both Aircraft for those that are curious and again Highlighting the Allied effort... It was quite deliberate...
...this is an inspiration I did for @VANDENPLAS latest acquisition... I'd also like to send hope and thoughts to our Friends out in BC suffering the wrath of the bitch Mother Nature can be.. Not good...May you get through this hell that is beyond catastrophic...so sorry... I'm knocking on wood we are spared her angry ways but she gets around...
Thanks. But remember Mother Nature was here first! We try to dictate to her when we should listen to her...
Put me in the unfinished/ not even started category with this one. Hope to be unchopped and full fendered for the first go around.
Happy holidays to all you Hambers from the great white north! And yes it's white here in western Canada right now with a foot of snow on the ground and more to come this week!! All the best in 2022!
Yes... Happy Holidays to all of our Canadian brothers and sisters (from different Mothers)! I'm sure glad they are (slowly) getting the border opened and back to 'normal' so we can visit each other... my wife is in need of a Victoria, B.C. fix!
@Fitnessguy warming up there yet...you robbed us of winter so far this year... Rain tomorrow...what the heck...
^^^^Now that is a lonely parking lot cruise in! No line at the beer stand though! Happy New Year neighbors!
I know this pic is quite old but I’m just re-reading the thread from the beginning, but did you swipe that post from your neighbours thread? LOL
