Good morning Danny. The interior knocked my glasses off.

Late 50's, early 60's show car build for sure.

I wonder what it looks like now. If I hadn't bought my '40 last April, I would be taking a look at it. I like them old Show Cars. Ron

I imagine the pic with the keystones is a current shot? this seems like a tremendous bargain to me, certainly a late fifties or early 60's build

  6. If I wasn't broke I would be on my way to to look at the car but I can't afford it so I just let you guys know about the car, it's a bargain at 20 and he is willing to trade. HRP

If the one pic is a current pic that would be a great buy. It's too bad they didn't supply much in the way of pics or info.

Wish I had the money but that interior would have to be changed, makes me dizzy looking at it.

I suffer from vertigo. That interior would make me sick.
It’s a great example...Plymouth bumpers, it’s got a lot going for it but the inside is a little much. With that said, it’s one of the features that makes this wonderful car.

that interior would certainly stay for me. It is a period piece that's for sure, I love it

Looks like it ran a 6x2 intake setup. I think its pretty cheap!

As Hambtown Al says...Lots of opportunities here.:) Hope it moves on to someone that can figure out how much of the old 63 vintage styling stuff to retain while making it palatable and safe for his own use. Looks like it may have been well cared for over the last 60 years.

If the car was closer to me I would take a very serious look at it. If I could buy the car I would leave the interior as is. That is if it were in O.K. condition! A great price for a 1940 Ford coupe!

Agreed, a bargain and easy to put it back to 63...

  17. 20 G’s I think it’s a steal !!

I would toss some seat covers on it to tone down the interior a bit ( if it’s in good shape and original 60’s build I would keep it) but I do agree it’s “ Busy”

and drive the wheels off it !!!!!

Can't believe someone hasn't snagged that! All it needs is the chrome reverse back on it to be a time capsule!

anyone that would buy this car that has stayed virtually unchanged for 60 years and change it to suit their tastes does not deserve to own it in my humble opinion ....... would rank right up there with tearing pages out of the history books.....

  22. Well, just goes to show that money couldn't buy taste, even 60 years ago

Problem is at that price it's vulnerable to that exactly happening...fingers crossed...

It seems something that warrants a more upscale sales platform but the family has decided to just go to a more typical everyday sales Avenue...

I just noticed looking in the 63 pic under the hood there's a number of Tags on the firewall...wonder if they might be timing tags?

In the clearly old pics the running boards are upholstered. In the possibly newer one they are not.

Heck, I'd be down on doing that interior today.
