I found the license plate light but not the spare or hub cap,it might get lowered enough so the lack of a cap will not show.

If you do not need it I might have parts to trade, one would think that the spare tire would be in the same box as the license plate light but no. I went through 20 boxes of models and the missing parts were not there.

Kind of confused.....you say you need a spare tire and hub cap...I'm assuming your wanting the continental spare tire cover ,that covers the spare tire and the spare tire hub cap that goes in the center of the spare tire cover...and it has the name script off center so that it is not being covered by the rear license plate and light.....so the question is ....how is lowering the car going to affect if your going to see the spare tire hub cap or not?....just curious.

I'm not needing it...if it will work for ya PM me a address and I will get it headed your way...I think that was about the only part I have ,that I can remember, for one of them. It would look cool lowered and a very minimal chop....I have a very large collection of parts including custom stuff and accessories if you are looking for that odd part there's a chance I may have it.

I need the spare tire with the cap and one more cap that lowering will hide.

Well Mike, now that you have a line on Fiat bodies how about replicating the Magic Muffler car as it was putting it’s crank on the pavement?
Just kidding, your work is stellar, as usual. Merry Christmas Mike.

Ha! Yep, I know that photo. Wouldn't mind giving it a try, just the wife might not like the mess and oil everywhere. lol
Interesting story, during a 1:25 Fiat brass build, the present owner of the Magic Muffler Fiat contacted me. This was maybe 2014, loved the progress. So we started talking, and I was able to get captivating details of the Fiat fuel cars. He also snuck a few photos of a very famous Fiat cackle car, especially the interior. Then there was this guy on a forum who was knocking my brass chassis. You know, one of those types who criticize something, but never to have shown a single photo of what they do (or don't!). So I ask the owner to measure a certain area of the Fiat....so, he goes out to his garage and gets back to me with a "it's 1 3/8 OD". This stuff, from real car guys is sensational, and it's just a nice thing that others enjoy your modeling in metal.
    Much appreciated, @Fordors!

    Mike..

PS: This 1:25 car. Entirely from metal, nickel alloys and chrome/cobalt/moly steel. Body is resin. Motor has 380 single parts.

    Merry Christmas to me...

While not really a hot rod, it is a heavily modified 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor. Who you gonna call?

When offered at Target (last year) for 50 bucks, these were a good deal. I, err I mean Santa... snagged one on eBay with a damaged box for a bit more a couple weeks ago. These are 1:18 scale, not my preferred 1:12, but I like it just the same. The only (further) mod I've done is to remove some of the overdone dirt/smoke effect on the front clip with alcohol and cotton balls. It could be modified further with lights, sound, more detail, etc. etc., but I'm satisfied with this one just the way she sits.

I first bought what was listed on flea bay as 1:24 scale ECTO-1 plastic "model". It was actually a kid's toy not a scale model at all. A very nice toy so that one found it's way to a Toys for Tots donation box at our local firehouse. Hopefully some little boy or girl is enjoying it right now.

Here's wishing you and yours Happy Holidays and a very joyous New Year.
    David

Great to see a Boss A Bone, Lil 32. It sometimes seems to be the forgotten one out of the Monogram 29 pickup evolution.
    Cheers

  22. Hope this fits this thread.

I got one of the coolest Christmas gifts this year from my "adopted" step son ( Long story short. His sister and my son are engaged and he's never had any dependable male influences in his life. Yet, somehow he's turned out to be a good kid, not to mention, he's an information sponge and not afraid to get his hands dirty).

Anyway, it's a 1:3 scale replica of a "K" code 289. Has a functioning crank, connecting rods, cam, even came with individual valves with little valve springs... I had to set the damned timing and everything. Has LED lights for spark plugs that simulates combustion in each cylinder and the firing order is right.

Was a blast to assemble and came with a full color "coffee table" book with the entire history of the Ford Mustang. To quote my neighbor, it's pretty "rad". :D
