Any word from these guys, any members on here or are they done?
My dad and his friend were members in the 70's-80's and I remember going to their shows and playing in the bed of John Rammages truck when I was little. The last I saw of any members was John Rammages truck was being sold by his daughter a few years back.

. Henrys Haulers are long gone as far as I know
I worked for Mike Larramendy for many years starting in 1977 I have the same dash plaque’s
Mike was the club president at that time
They were a pretty big deal, they would get about 500 cars at the picnic, at the time I drove a red 56 panel and Mikes Auto Rebuild was the center of the NW F100 universe. It was a fun place to work as far as I know most of the members have passed on
I’m pretty sure Mikes still with us and still has his burgundy metallic jag suspended 56

I just bought an oldclub jacket I found on ebay. I couldn't let it just disappear. It has then name "Allen" on it.
I think my dad (John Kincl) still has his jacket along with Jim Babbitts jacket.
Here are some other old plaques from back then...

  5. Yep, those guys ran with the Henry's Half Tons out of Portland a lot. Good bunch of guys. The few I knew are long gone. Henry's Half Tons went from 53-56 only to any year F-100 to stay to stay alive but haven't heard anything about them in years. I tried making contact a while back but their web site is shut down, well no replay that is.

I miss Jim, he was my dads best friend and pretty much my uncle. I ended up buying his 53 that my dad built just before he went into the nursing home. Unfortunately I had to sell it due to lack of space at the time.

I recently pucked up a chopped 56 big window that I have been trying to find the local history on.

  8. The truck I remember Jim driving ran a Chevy truck box on it with Ford fenders. Jim said he liked the Flat top bed sides better that the slanted ones.

Henry's Haulers helped the Vintiques of Yakima get their rod run off the ground in the early years with advice and hands on help and were the only post 48 vehicles that were allowed to participate until the Pre 48 rule went away.
I made several trips over Snoqualmie in April In either my 48 or the 51 Mercury I had to the event. Almost always with a stop at the Tripple X in Issaquah on the way home for dinner before heading back over the pass.

I still love F-100’s I built this ‘53 a few years back, was a bit like a trip down memory lane working on it
It’s on the east coast now 583B091A-0E02-46B4-A53D-04B1EB940A55.png

  12. Nice 53 F-Head. I think the truck thing is still alive and well. I'm still bringing back my 53. Have had and built many 53-56 over the years including a Panel Truck.

  13. Chopping a Big Window, not many of those done due to the Back glass not being able to cut. They were not laminated like the windshield. I did a Chopped Big Window slant cab in 1973. Here's an in-progress photo.

Yeah, they were hercalite glass. At first we thought it was a dodge truck rear window because it was a pretty common swap back then (they are 1/4" wider but 3" lower than the stock ford window) but it turned out they used lexan.

My dad did a bunch of big back window slant cabs. This was his truck when he owned the Chevron station on Capitol Hill. He traded it to Jim for a custom VW, Jim swapped a bunch of stuff on it and I ended up with it about 2003.

Currently he is building a big back window 54 that Mac Templeton is doing the bodywork on.

This was dads 56 Mercury panel. The last time we saw it it was stripped out and sitting behind a tattoo shop on river rd in Puyallup.

When I was working on the WWPPS Nuclear site I attended one of the Washington state events. I was driving a '53 F100. I recall a truck whose tailgate's FORD block letters had be cut out & repositioned to read DORF. Do you remember that truck?

  22. The black truck in the last pic. The cab top and the hood have been what is called being pancaked haven't they?
Slicing and lowering the crown on the cab an inch or more and slicing the sides of the hood and removing some metal to lower the front.
Those body mods give the '53-'56 a really sleek look.
How common was that done back in those days?

Mikes auto Rebuild around 1975 Garfield auto parts and the first Wesco auto paints in the background. Don’t remember the green truck AC8284F9-1411-4BEB-9341-79D177E39195.png

Pie cut hoods were done on a lot of hoods on different makes and models (cars and trucks) back then.
My chopped 56 has a pie cut hood. It is awesome but makes it so the reversible kits won't work.

    Bumping this back up.

Public records list the clubs non profit corporation dissolution date as 6-30-2011.
I know Eileen Clay was the one who got them their yellow jackets (they were originally Goodyear tire jackets) but I have no idea if she is still alive and dad isn't really in contact with anyone else from his Haulers days.
My end goal is to talk with someone that would be able to give me the yay or nay to try and bring this club back. Probably not as big and influential as it originally was but who knows.

  29. I'm sure there are more than just you and me that are still involved neck deep in the F-100 stuff. This photo was taken 2 days ago. There's hope for a fresh restart for this one. At the downhill side of 70 I've learned not to set time schedules. Just take it as it comes.
    20231024_161425.jpg
Then there's this poor old thing that I've decided to Re-Home but be much more selective than I was last time. No, I won't just list it in the Classifieds. Seeing it in this condition makes me Sick. Knowing I don't have enough time to bring it back myself is just reality. It was a Bad Ass driver through the 70's and 80's.

I have to thank Spooky here on the HAMB for taking the first step towards saving my Old Friend and then letting me bring it back home. This taught me a terrible lesson in that nobody else will respect what you built more than yourself.

I love that panel and would love that hood! My chopped big window has a pie cut hood. It wasn't done great so I have a spare that I'm going to cut down.
Dad had a primer gray 56 Mercury panel back in the late 80's and early 90's. Right now at 79 (besides his custom 50 Dodge) he is building a 54 Mercury pick up with Jag front and rear suspension and a big back window that Mac Templeton is doing the bodywork on it.
