Here`s a 40 Buick 4 - dr with a covered hardtop. The Bat. It is still around. Work on it started in 1941 and was completed 14 IMG_20211025_0001.jpg years later.

I imagine you know my response to your post, to you and the horse you rode in on, so there's no point in my writing it out.

Too funny:D. Both myself and @stanlow69 had made comments on the Let's Chop 50FRAUD thread questioning your design choice and the elimination of the Vicky wraparound rear window.
    Hot Rods - Let's Chop 50FRAUD | The H.A.M.B. (jalopyjournal.com)
We both received rather rude responses from you...AND THEN...our comments mysteriously completely disappeared:eek:.
It just pissed me off:mad:...but I suppose the above post was uncalled for...so my apologies...and I've deleted it.

Incidentally, regardless of how i feel about your '51 Vicky, your '40 convertible with 1/4 windows is an absolutely brilliant design.

I did not make comments questioning your design. ! I posted versions of a chopped Vicky so people could make there own decisions on what they liked. Just like posting all versions of Carson styled tops. You must know what looks good and what doesn`t look good when designing a custom from a personal view. George Mizzi from Lyndhurst NY chose Monego`s Body Shop from Garfield NY to build his covertible Merc. Top is chopped 3 inches. Car Craft May 1959. The car is purple and the interior is done by A&Z Auto Top of Hackensack New Jersey. I have a day off work since this is Christmas day. I will be posting a bit. Trying to get caught up on a few things. IMG_20211225_0001.jpg IMG_20211225_0002.jpg

Car Craft July 1956. Paul McGill`s 40 Ford convertible from Aberdeen Washington. A 3 inch chop and a 6 1/2 inch section was performed. Holcomb`s Upholstery Shop of Aberdeen did the top and interior. IMG_20211225_0003.jpg IMG_20211225_0004.jpg

A Gaylord top compared to a Carson/Chavez top. Checkout the Roadster turned into a glass hauler. IMG_20211225_0020.jpg IMG_20200906_0003.jpg
