Let’s see some lace painted cars for inspiration please.

 

I would love to show you mine, but it's off-topic for here. I had the rear panel "laced" on my '70 big-block Vette when it was six weeks old. Still have it with the original paint. I'm always amazed by the folks who see it at shows and ask what the lace is.

 

I’m doing a 60 Ventura . Thinking it needs lace , possibly scallops. Just looking for inspiration.

I'm planning an era correct lace roof on my '49 Anglia build. Green w/ yellow gold. Sorry, all I have now is a concept cartoon.

 

One of my racing buddy's Sam Kerr RIP, that I also went to high school with,wanted help painting his race car.
We panel & lace styled it, in gloss gold an gloss black. That was a long time back. Was his fav. of all times paint. We did it together in his drive way!

Is that border on the roof turned metal with colour/clear over it?

 

I have googled it before and found nothing so I will ask here, anyone have a pic of a black car with a lace roof? I have thought about this for my truck I am painting soon so time is of the essence.
