Event Coverage Christmas Eve and I'm hiding in the garage

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by HOTRODPRIMER, Dec 24, 2021.

  1. I fired up the smoker this morning and the heavenly aroma of smoked turkey is hanging heavy in the air, the house is full of females, my grandson couldn't make it home for Christmas and my future grandson is in quarantine since his parents have tested positive for covid.

I have been hiding out in the shop since early this morning, piece and quiet and actually have got a lot of maintenance done and now doing some long overdue cleaning up and reorganizing.

I wish all you guys a Merry Christmas and hope your holidays bring many happy memories. HRP

I can think of worse places to be than the shop.
    Merry Christmas HRP & everyone.

Yep a house full of women can do that to a guy, you can always dust off a shot glass.... and have a Merry Christmas Eve.

I too spent some time in the garage. Packing up a radiator for shipment to North California.
We had Warm weather for the North East and no salt on the roads. Have never had cars out this late of the year. I did drive them some the last week or so.
    Merry Christmas everyone!!

Same here with a house full of women so I'm out in the shop having some Christmas cheer. Merry Christmas to everyone.

  9. Merry Christmas to you also. I’ve been in the garage readying the coupe for UPAC trim around the top.

  10. Merry Christmas Danny & Brenda. This year is the first that I can remember not having friends over for Christmas morning breakfast…Covid sucks.

But enough negativity, soon it will be a new year with lots of potential…onward!!!

Christmas day already over here. Doing glazed ham and barbequed stuffed turkey roll and a visit to grandkids for lunch. A bottle of Southern Comfort and Coke when we get back home this evening.
Take it easy everyone and even if a family member or friend gives you the shits just remember it may be the last time you see them so take a deep breath and suck it up.
    Merry Christmas to all .

By the way. We're expecting 39 degrees Centigrade for today

Wrapping a new set of tools for my surviving grandson, we plan on working on my avatar after New Years. Cheers all. NC.

    She wanted a fire pit.
Have no clue what this was but it’s over 3 inches thick at the base and weighs over 700 pounds.
Found it at the scrap yard. Just over 48” wide

Does it have a drain hole?

  20. Looks like a crusher cone Anthony.

  21. Bottom is open.
I have it to where it hopefully drains on one end.
    it’s cast steel. Not iron.
Should outlast the store bought one that rotted out in a year.
Down side is it’s not portable.

  22. Probably is.
    It’s cast steel.
Dinged up on the inside but adds a hammered look to it

Merry Christmas and Happy Smores! You know not portable is a benefit! It won't grow legs on you.

SWMBO and I are getting ready for stuffed squash, and sauteed beets, carrots, and onion, in an orange juice sauce. We already finished the turkey and fixings, and need some vegetables today.

  27. Shot paint on a bedside and a hood while momma made patterns in the upholstery shop, guess we were both hiding in a shop lol!!! Merry Christmas Danny, enjoy your shop time :D

Merry Christmas to all from South Texas. 80F. Yeesh. Sure doesn't feel like the Christmas season here. I'll be frying turkeys in shorts and flip flops.

  29. Last present arrived a few minutes ago.
My son asked for parts for his 51 Willys
So between us, his girlfriend and grandparents he’s got around $800 worth of parts
