I'm confused....this thread is about a bitchin coupe and a deep dive into its past history...going back many decades even...now you are making it near unrecognizable? Are you pulling our leg?

No worries its all bolt onable, offable, The transition back to as received is a day or twos work away should one desire...So many Hotrods have evolved beyond Hamb material over the years and many share looks that meet the guidelines at many of their iterations...

    The Kassa Coupe being one...

He's taking it back to perhaps a more distant time, so I see no issue with another form of Period Hotrod...

Depends on who you ask, There is a Thread and apparently it was a popular look for Hotrods including the 32 Ford...

I love them with and without equally...

...This red Coupe is being resurrected as we speak I believe...Anyone remember who...and that is extremely exciting indeed...

I just had a funny thought that this coupe Austinrod aquired was a former Hotrod sans fenders and someone in the 60s righted that wrong and here she is going back again...:D...I'd call it Deja vu... @Austinrod I'm enjoying your adventures as always...it would be truly interesting to find out it did have a multi hotrodded past with several looks along the way...many did...

Hot rodders bitching because a guy is going to make a car his own?? It's not like it's a famous car with tons of history. Some of you are sounding as bad as the restorers. Ask yourself this. What would I think if someone was bitching because of a mod I wanted to do to my car? I'll bet you'd tell him to stick it

Exactly I’m going too bring it too a late fifties (58) look too be exact
White walls and steel wheels mount tail lights in body with license plate
    And light back there
    Keeping interior as is
Cleaning up the rust and keeping rear fenders on
Maybe change steering wheel too earlier
Replace the shocks with SoCal fattys etc

I like what your doing here...if the rear fenders are cherry you could even Bob another set and switch them out...

It even gives you the choice to switch things around if you so choose...

I can't recall who got the Duke...I believe it's across the pond or downunder...

I will say unchopped highboy or partial fender Coupes are few and far between but the Duke is a premium example and certainly not the only one...

    Exciting stuff...

@Austinrod I am mistaken...It was @ukgav...he was inspired by the Duke among many others and building a Hotrod in his own inspired style...not cloning it nor is it The Duke proper...sorry for the confusion...

He has quite a collection of vintage 5 window pics at the link below in many liveries of Hotrod...it's well worth a visit for potential inspiration...

... @Austinrod I just thought I'd share this with you...Ct was wondering what his old Coupe also known as the Coleman Coupe would look like with Moons...perhaps there's some styling cues you might glean as your stepping back in time...;)

    I'm enjoying your journey...
