My 32 dash.Had a fiberglass dash when I bought it 20 some years ago.Repro steel dash now ,think this was a Speedway gauge bezel

 

This is my 32 Olds gage cluster. Original, they have not been refurbished, just disassembled and the dust removed.

Work in progress. '52 DeSoto dash and gauge cluster in my '29 Model A roadster. It's gonna be sa-weet.

 

These knobs started out as a retro knob kit I brought on ebay, the large one ( a gear knob ) I machined to house ignition key. This setup was on car for 10 months. Recently I decided to machine my Loker shift Knob with groves and paint black and white. I liked the look so I decided to machine all dash Knobs to suit - I machined down the ignition one as it was to large and I was never happy with it anyway. I'm happy with the result now. Glen

Thanks for the follow-up. Looking at your OP; I was thinking those were laminated knobs; now I have another whole knob idea to consider.

 

34 Chevy Master dash mounted in my 30 A Coupe. Extended end to fit A body, extended top edge to A windshield and punched some louvers to accommodate defrost vents. gauge insert was toast so made a replacement out of 1/4" aluminum that would match the look of the glove box door.. Gauges are all early 60's SW, including a NOS 765 tach and sender. Glove box is made out of hammer formed steel. Center trim was in bad shape so made a replacements out of polished stainless. Indicator lights are jewelled vintage Norton. Headlight switches and power outlet are mounted under dash. Tach is mounted on a custom panel under dash by drivers door. Control knobs are turned stainless. Pinstripping by Von Knob was added later.

@Canuck that has to be one of the cleanest looking dashes I've seen. Very nice job!!

 

I had my 54 Conestoga's dash painted a nice semi-gloss black. It looked good.
Then a hair-brained idea came to mind.

A vinyl wrap. I started with a different pattern, that I actually think I like better. A black and white ocean wave pattern. But, long story, I "f'ed" it up. So, while I could have bought more of the same material, I bought some "cast" carbon fiber look material.
Not great in the shade, but when the sun is shining on it, it looks good.

The wiring isn't done, so neither is the dash back together.

I really like that organizer/cupholder that looks like a picnic basket. Did you make that?

 

No. That was made by a basket company called Longaberger. Its called a Car Caddy. They were once a huge company. Sadly, they are no longer in business. However, I've seen these for sale on eBay. They make a great console for the Tin Woody.

I got this dash out of an old international harvester truck. After taking measurements, I hoped it would fit in my 1930 Ford Model A pickup without too many modifications. As it turned out, all I needed to do to fit this corn binder dash was to trim tabs on each side.




The width, and even the arc where the dash meets the windshield was dead on.


I found this great set of gauges, but they turned out slightly smaller than the size of the hole from the originals, so a buddy of mine made some adapters.


I think they turned out well, and I will paint them the same red as the dash.

 

I used a '55 Ford P-U cast aluminum insert in my '28 dash. I liked it because it's small and but has room for 5 gauges. I have an extra unpolished or painted panel for sale?
