I purchased the car from a gentleman in Florida. Have you noticed the heavy blue metal flake paint under the black yet? Look at the corners of the gas tank...and on the grille shell....and at where the roof meets body line at the rear. ALSO....the roof insert and running boards are painted black. The original white vinyl is underneath.
different, - shocks, grille insert, no cowl lights and painted windscreen surround, different perch bolts, boot (trunk) verses rumble seat, different bolt configuration on firewall, black fire wall looks more recessed, red car upholstery doesn’t seem to be pleated. You should be able to see if the cowl light holes are filled on the black version or not drilled out. That alone could confirm it. 56,000 plus made, - I doubt that they are the same. nice ‘70’s car though…….I like them like that with the rear wheels sticking out past the guards……
San Antonio we’re I bought it tracing it back was in North Carolina then Florida then Colorado then Ohio
I just went to look at the ad I was referring to for your cpe and it had been flagged. Someone must have been using the pictures of it that they had found somewhere. If it wasn't your car it has a twin right down to the yellow plug wires
You'd have liked the price on the one I saw $20,500, I knew it had to be a scammer ad with that price
Going too make the front and sides fenderless Keeping rears fenders on. Going too get vintage taillights on rear body with license plate and light mount. Chrome reverse wheels with Firestone black bias ply's Cheery bombs or glass packs exhaust And vintage headlight mounts of course And maybe cycle fenders front
Memory serves once again: To narrow that rear 2", simply swap the Olds rear axles and housing with that from a '49-'52 Pontiac. Everything else fits...
Great find, always good to see a period piece get saved but for the love of god go boil those hides one time will you!
