Technical Chrome plating on the cheap

There was a fire at a old school plating shop 15-20 years ago or so in Lansing. It was in a neighborhood. The fire dept doused it with lots of water during the fire. Apparently they figured the water flushed out some of the "bad" chemicals into the storm drains. They evacuated and condemned a bunch of the houses with in a block or so. Of course the old chrome shop never reopened. Probably got sued up the ying-yang!! Yeah they don't mess around about whatever chose hazardous chemicals are!.
