    OK
Next item: Call me crazy but is the slider bracket crooked - twisted clockwise? Or is it one of those camera lens things?

What do your think about your trailer and truck? Rust never sleeps.. I can no longer afford to sacrifice trucks to the salt Gods…

  9. Both truck and trailer have issues as well. Had a brake line rust out just before heading to Bonneville in 2020 there is no stopping the rust completely even though I try..

  10. And we had to redo the brakes on the trailer and the trucks trailer brake controller in preparation for 2021.

I am amazed at the amount of rust on your truck. I have a Suzuki Samurai that I’ve taken to Bonneville over 10 times since 2008, we drive it everywhere on the salt, and it’s rusty, but it’s mostly surface rust. When I get home it usually has a thick layer of salt covering everything that the spray from the tires hits. All I do is wash it with the garden hose for about an hour. But I do live in Arid-Zona and our normal humidity is low, so maybe the Salt Monster needs a drink to really eat?

  12. I also live in a high desert environment. When we get back the truck gets several hours with a low pressure sprinkler. Moving it around once you see the water run clean in one area. Like below

That’s low enough to pickup new fans from a low riders club. :D

  17. I will Raise it about 1"
Once the engine is back in to center the shock travel but it's still going to be low.
Who knows it might be better for aero, just won't know till we try it on the Salt.

  18. For those about to rock, we salute you.

Hello John, I see you use split pins or cotter pins, so how much safety wire do you use. Do you have to wire header bolts and the likes, Regards tim.

  27. It's not required in my class although it's not a bad idea.
I haven't had any issues with header bolts coming loose but the truck gets torn down after speed week and everything gets a nut and bolt inspection after every run.

  28. I took the cylinder head up to Jimmy's today, cleaned it up and did a close inspection. Jimmy and I will do some flow bench testing to see if we can improve the head a bit more.I may mill another .020 to .030 off the head for some more compression. I need to find more power somewhere..
