Got the back seat in place and I got to say I'm pretty impressed with the headroom back here... Leg room not so much

Your seat back must be awful thick or you really tipped the bottom forward. The front of the bottom cushion in mine is barely overlapping the drop to the floor and my car is a business cpe

Mine is a club coupe so I have the full seat in the back. There's a piece of wood that attaches to do B pillar to support the front of the cushion bottom

I know yours is a club cpe. I mentioned that mine was a business cpe but I put a full rear seat in it. Your back seat is way too big for the car. I had 2/3 guys in my rear seat riding around one time. Just trying to help you out with your problem. Now I'll put it to rest

Started on the driver's side come to find out I left the gas on from earlier this week so I tacked everything in place until I get more gas.

My buddy Paul has been working on his '46 Merc longer than I have known him(37 years). It's looking pretty good. It's been low budget all the way. I asked him just the other day if he kept a journal and had pictures of the journey. Nope.

Got some more work done on the back seats. I used the old lower seat hooks they don't seem to work as well as I thought they would.
Got the front seats in place messing with the recliner

Well today went from bad to worse. I tried changing the tranny cooling lines on the wife's car couldn't get it unhooked so I put it back together for someone else. Went to get burgers and it died in the drive thru. Got a call from the mechanic and said that the cooling line to the radiator snapped inside so now I need a new radiator.
Wasn't able to get a ride to work today so thought I'd make the best of it and got some more work done on the headers IMG_20210719_090744340.jpg IMG_20210719_111054073_HDR.jpg

I may have missed it, but what are the new front seats out of? They remind me of tbird seats. I’m enjoying your posts on your project.

Is it one of the swing away columns for easy entry and exit?

Putting some ideas together for my exhaust maybe a small cover so you don't see it go though the fender.

I swear I've spent more time and money in a single day on my wife's got-dang car than I have on the hot rod all year. At this rate, she is going to have a brand new car by the end of the year.:mad::mad:

What’s the temperature rating on those side pipes? That’s cheaper than building some and decide you don’t like them. Good idea

I wanted to see how it would hook up with the headers I'm making and it seems pretty straight forward. The plan is to run them through the back of the fenders where the running boards would go. I found some on speedway that are a little larger dia than lake pipes but have built in baffles

My experience with side pipes they get a drone effect and annoying. I have had them on several Vetts.

I don't know why I've been putting this off for so long but I'm glad that I finally got the fender apart, stripped, sanded, and some primer

Found out there is a junkyard with lots of older trucks right down the road from where they're having the northern Nationals. $100 and an hour later I got a column and a Holley double pumper IMG_20210911_121518416_HDR.jpg

Thinking out loud...I have a GM p/s box would modifying the stock Ford drag link to fit the GM pitman arm be something easier than trying to bend a pitman arm

Went to the Kazoo swap meet today. It was pretty pretty sad about half the tables were empty only in the main building. I only saw two trailers outside. On the bright side I found a twin for my spotlight and another huh cap IMG_20220205_130334213.jpg
