I would like to find a license plate frame crom the dealer that sold my 55 Sunliner new if they had them at that time, did find one from the late 70s bit passed on it since it was beat up. I did talk to the guy who owned the dealership before he passed away but did not think to ask if he did have any at that time.

My spare key for my Roadster was a dealer give away knife with a key blank in it. And yes it works just fine! 27 roadster dash 004.JPG 27 roadster dash 008.JPG

  8. Ellis intake for International SD/BD six. I wouldn't think they existed if it weren't for this picture! Not especially helpful go-fast goody for an engine that only spins to 3,800 rpm... but sure would look purdy with two glass bowl Holleys on it...

  9. My unobtainium vehicle accessory you say? Well, for me it’d be the privilege ( yes, I said it) to take Ms. Linda for a nice quiet drive in my F-100.

*That is not outrageously priced. The last one that I saw was priced at more than I paid for my whole Model A, with a title.

Have you checked with @choffman41 ?

He's got a handful of choice intake manifolds. He might have that in his wee collection for sale.

Not accessory, but I sure can’t find a door for a ‘51-‘53 Buick Special coupe or convertible. Nor the upper grill bar (moustache) for a ‘53 Buick Special.

The in-car record players didn't catch on, they skipped pretty easily, and had a cartridge tracking force that tore the hell out of the records. They also cost a lot. 4-track tape and later 8-track were the first practical way to bring your own tunes on the road.

We road trip regularly and I am the carrier of spares and tools. Traveling with 10 plus cars it's rare to not have someone have some sort of issue along the way. We drive more over a weekend than most do in a year with their old cars.

Has anyone ever tried to mimic these by starting with a set of guide headlights? I feel like you could get about halfway there without too much work.

I know for awhile, and this was years ago, but someone was on ebay selling cast aluminum shells that were some crude copies, and with some work, I always thought they might work "for me". BUT, lo and behold, I haven't seen a set in a loooooonnnggg time. Ah well.... I love those headlights.

A nice, original, unbroken 40 Ford Standard grille center for my 41 Pickup that doesn't cost $500.

Call me crazy, however years ago in the early 80s I was at one of the NSRA Nats with a work buddy. His friend (who was filthy rich) bought what I can only describe as a limited, aluminum finned 1932 Ford, one-piece firewall. I have never seen one since and can't even find a picture. It was the coolest thing I had ever seen and would love to mount one on my wall!
