Can anyone help identify this hub configuration? I'm looking for it but no luck yet. Anti Rock related something or other??, Thanks
Rocky Mountain hub. An option, opened up to help with brake cooling. This one looks a little different than most. From my point of view anyway.
I've had two types of those hubs. One, like your's all one piece, and one with removable brake drums. Some folks say they are early 36 ford, not aftermarket. And. a 3rd style with a big fin
Thanks for that info.... is there any current day driving advantages in using them? I'd assume they were intended to be covered with a cap....but that's an assumption on my part.
Although they have the same wide five bolt pattern, '36 hubs are a one year only part and won't interchange with '37-'39 due to difference in spindle snout length.
So I've only got two traditional hubs so far and they are the long snout type....im thinking. I'd guess that the short snout may be easier to dress up. So need to I figure that out. But these two I do have appear to have enough life yet to regrind.
Here's a thread showing the difference in wide 5 fronts https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=306549
