So, would you rather have go overseas and displayed openly to the public OR stay in the US shut away in a rich person's garage?

It may end up in similar situations regardless of which land mass it ends up on...

It has already stayed hidden for 35 + years. I saw it at the Peterson. 2019-08-30_205946.jpg

I hope so too, but if its not LS swapped and Billet dripped, the money just doesn't seem to fly like it does with muscle cars. The ultra rare, Dusenbergs, Packards, Hudsons etc seem to have the 100k and up market pretty solid, but customs just have everyone scared of bondo mobile...

I hope Jive-Bomber has set up a spread-sheet of bids so he'll know when to send me my shirt. :)

  11. You don't even have to be "in the know" Pat posts here with some regularity. In fact, there is even a thread about Pats roadster project by @Marty Strode

  14. $997,000. Just shy of a million, and it’ll be a no sale. As good a guess as any.

I'm going $585,000 although its worth 4 times that for the history, skill and vision of the time.

  21. On this forum, with our shared interest in this icon we are more optimistic about its value then most.
I believe its deserved place in history should warrant a high selling price, but doubt it will.

Hopefully it will end up in a great garage and shown to all enthusiasts. My guess is $298,000. Mark get your checkbook out of the freezer. If you could buy it, we would know it won’t get buried in an elite collection.

Wow, nine pages. Thanks Jive-Bomber for another interesting thread. Soon we’ll know the answer. I hope a Hamber gets it.
