According to "WikiArt," this is from a genre called "Lowbrow Art." Hot Rod Race By Robert Williams

drew this for a good friend years ago, who just passed away this week from covid complications Barry Weeks, Lake Elmo, Mn.

 

Something I made back when I had my Model A. Brass on wood.

like it that the truck is a C-10 hauler, iconic image!

 

Love that this is a Chevy coupe, and I don't think I have ever seen the chevy taillights turned on end, cool.

"Trendero" planted a good seed Spoggie... I like your "less is more" approach to the taillights, and your "more is more" approach to the tail. Nothing against "Trendero"... awesome car... awesome history behind it. My tastes don't favor it's "catfish" look of the nose. To be fair, I never saw the car in its hay day; and it is revered.

New designs??? Hmmm... . I think... that if ya had deep pockets, and a stomach for cutting collectables ... someone should ute a '62 Imperial Crown Coupe, louver to taste, and run with skirts... that'd be COOL!

My pal has been a great help with my 1926 T coupe build so I made him a keyring of his 1932 panel van. It's just under an inch long and is made of Fimo.

The departing of the Membership is all to familiar and really leaves one with a sense of loss that's hard to put into words many times...I dedicate this in memory of Breeder...gone to the Big Sky too soon...Thankfully you are not alone in your journey as alluded, so many Hambers have already made the journey...till we meet again, save us a parking spot at the Rust Revival above the clouds...Thoughts again to the family and friends...
