As interesting as FI full size Chevy's are. there were in '59 only 5 Biscaynes, 2 Bel Air's, and 18 Impalas produced by the factory. There were a bunch of aftermarket conversions done as we used to see one occasionally at the drag strips. I recall having the 409 at Pomona one morning and a guy had a beautiful red bubbletop with a 360/327. He had even placed a '62 Corvette FI emblem below the crossed flags on the fenders. It looked like a factory job and was definitely a cool car. I never had any FI problems on either FI Corvette but credit Harry Mann Chev.'s great mechanics for that.
That thar is Alferd Griner Packer, also known as "The Colorado Cannibal". He was a prospector and self-proclaimed professional wilderness guide who confessed to cannibalism during the winter of 1874. Whenever I hear that someone has participated in cannibalism my first thought is always... "How did they prepare it?". Like... did he slow roast it and serve it with a braised polenta and a side of petite peas? Did he dry and smoke the meat to make jerky? I mean... any number of dishes come to mind... *cough... I mean, cannibalism is bad. Yeah... don't do cannibalism.
