    What I know so far
This 1932 Ford 5W was first registered in the late 50’s
by a Elijah F Render out of Madeira Ohio as a hot rod.
Then in 1958 it was transferred too a Robert Reichelt out of Cincinnati Ohio.
It was re registered in 59/60/62/67/75
It was Hot Rodded in the late 50’s
    Interior was redone in 1961
    Engines were: 265-283-350
    Trans: 350
    Rear: Oldsmobile
    Brakes: 40 ford
    Original dropped axle
    Owners:
    Elijah F Render
    Robert Reichelt
    Dean Micetich
    Jonas Hodge

    From Jack:
Before my time , but I do know of a black 5 window that was owned by a John Render of Madeira. Very similar but not the same. I also know where this car is now. John's car was built by his dad but I don't know his name. Maybe he built another one before this one.
    Just got this from Jack:
Talked to an old friend that also knew about the car here , actually got this one ready to ground tow to California and then was driven back. I'm thinking the family told me he had all the chrome work done in California. He also confirmed Render has several 32's including another black 5w. And he raced a roadster at Beechmont Dragway in Cincinnati
Anybody recognize this 32 coupe or it’s history?
Last photos with nerf bar and moon tank are from the 80’s
    Blacked out version is current

Good lookn’ rod! Should complement your roadster nicely! I saw the thread on it, a little while back ; debating if the Olds rear was to wide. I would think, possibly going to 1” negative offset “D” spokes, instead of the positive offset torques on it now ; could cure that. Or, put some super wide meats on her; and really “hang” tire!

it’s definitely going too get a wheel and tire change
Those look too new for me
I’ll keep that offset in mind
Was it the for sale thread or was their another one thread

  15. i wonder how did it not get registered for 25 years?

That red coupe sure sits a lot like yours, but it seems unlikely to me that someone would have gotten rid of the louvered hood and matching upholstered rumble seat during a re-do, especially considering how well the car is preserved. Maybe the license plate can help ID?

Congratulations on the purchase, beautiful car, I don’t think I’d change a thing!

Nice car Austinrod!!! You ALWAYS find the good ones. Thank you for sharing your finds.
I always like seeing and reading the history on your threads.

There are many similarities between the red car and your car, especially the firewall. FWIW I don’t find it that unlikely to change out the hood and the rumble seat. Easy things to change out. I love louvered hoods but some guys don’t. I’m not a fan of rumble seats and would not hesitate to swap it out.
