  1. Just found this thread. Killer! Frankly, I like to hear about all the life distractions that slow progress. I can relate.

It's getting to be more of a thing in this area. Instead of condo-garages (which is a great concept) there are several developer/contractors buying land, subdividing, and putting up steel buildings on stand-alone lot's. We moved to a small community of 600 people ....literally two bars and a church. They planned this one block long development (both sides) of shops to buffer a new residential neighborhood and a manufacturing facility. We live about 3 blocks away. Only downside is no water and sewer today.

You as well Marty, thank you. It s not a runner but I wanted to get it out and about while Jim (driver on the right) and my Dad ( builder ) are still healthy. We lost Ron the engine builder before I started the restoration.

I really want to get at that...I want to get the Roadster rolling first, then start some chassis / suspension work on it.

I had to decide early on if I wanted to be a lake cabin guy or a car guy... In my mind it's hard to both.

Finally..... getting back to things. Sub rails were pretty rough and needed to be reconstructed for the 32 frame. Made some new pieces and have the quarters fitted.

How's the roadster coming along? The sub rail kick up for the 32 rails looks great.

It's about how it looks there. I took 6 mos. to do a 72C10 step-side shortbox, kicked the Chevy II project off..... But I do want to get the metal work done by spring so I can get the sheet metal protected in epoxy. Trying to get all the heavy lifting done on my stuff while I am somewhat young:)
