I also think skirts are ok. Would prefer front bottom of skirt better match top instead of little loop back toward front. Nice ride

What a major improvement. Very Kool!! I like the old Carson style top too but changing the top you sure increased the kool factor. Please keep us updated with your progress.

  8. Just my 2c, that you didn't ask for, but I'd maybe shorten the skirts down and add some Victoria side chrome (or similar) to help break up the body sides a bit. As much as chrome usually gets deleted, it really does help take visual height out of the body - like a poor mans section job. rear-window-in-005.jpg

I really like JamesD's image with the side moldings, looks great! I even like the paintjob that's on it with the trim added and shorter (or no) skirts.

Wayyyy better than that 'West-coast-crap look'!
That thang had to be a nightmare to drive with blind spots on BOTH side.
    I like it already.

    My thoughts...
No skirts and paint the car,
A deep/jet black....so deep it looks like you can swim in it. There's just something about that old black Lacquer Look.

That ton of work looks so much better with the new top!!! I like the side chrome, but what if the front fender strip was moved to replaced the door strip. Oh, and no flames.

Looking way way better! I like the look of the skirts that James D has done. Solid color would finish it off. Whatever you decide to do, what you have already done is a vast improvement!

WOOOOW, I've not seen this car since around 2004. Would you be interested in selling it? Long story short, this used to belong to my dad, bankruptcy forced him to sell it, he passed away in 2016 and I've been trying to find a couple of his old cars. A guy send me a link to this this morning, I laid those flames on that car when I was 14!! Anyway, if you'd be interested in parting with it let me know. I'm new to this page, you can reach me on my cell phone at 865-438-0566.
