Made a little instructional video on snaking new plug wires through the tight plug wire conduit on a flathead. I did the snaky thing because I run my coil wire inside the plug wire tube also as my coil is on the inside of my firewall and the plug wire tube is extra full due to that and very hard to run the wires through. It might be stupid but it worked for me.

Real good, maybe even a bit of lube in the tube would help as well, like the look for sure !

Liquid dish soap works well. Doesn't take much

I didn't want to use any kind of lube because I didn't want the residue gumming anything up.

I used the same method on my '48 FH. Worked great!

    Thanks for the video.
Understand your concerns but as mentioned above a little diluted dish washing liquid works great.
Before it dries you could rinse the soap residue inside the conduits with water.

Is that a "Bubbas" sticker I spy on your distributor?

Good eye! Can only see a sliver of it. Bubba rebuilt my dizzy about 4-5 years ago.

They are easier to do if you feed the wire through the little hole toward the distributor end. Trying to get one out the little hole can drive you mad. Wiggle the wires around as you push the next one in and they'll find their happy place, making it pretty easy.

Remember, looks is before everything on a hot rod. Those wire looms should be chromed. You will pick up at least 5 mph top speed.
By the way, it seems rather counterproductive to spend money for a nice "Bubba" distributor, then knock off 4 milliamps of spark plug current with wire looms.

Wow, really? I didn't know that. So, just run then and tie together with wax cord, etc?

Very nice. I've done 12 cyl Packard looms and used good ol mechanics wire. To be fair they're a little bigger with 6 wires but still cozy. Lubricant, I'm with you about soaps or wire lubes. But, BUT, baby powder. Yup, good ol talcum works wonders as a dry lubricant, blows off clean, and best of all the job smells fresh when yer done.:p Seriously tho, powder works well for this kinda work and thanks for the share. Good stuff.

I second the baby powder. Anything that leaves residue on the wires could cause premature deterioration of the insulation.

No on the wax cord. Keep them separated with small plastic spacers. Most cars from the factory have them or they
can be made from old credit cards.
