Anybody else notice the rear American five spokes with the reinforcing rib on the spoke, very rare wheel, I think these were called the "R" wheel, not sure if they were called a Torque Thrust or not.

When I was spec.ing out parts for my roadster build I went to Pleasanton for a little R&R and inspiration, happened on Boyce and his roadster, was spying his bucket seats and that cool hand built tilt away steering column, I got the nerve up to ask if he would mind letting me sit in it, he said sure, cripes that car was (is) so cool.

Just tinted primer for now, the interior is finished in yellow so I'm kind of limited, unless I tear it down and I enjoy driving it too much at the moment

 

This was my very first HotRod. Ryan did a story on it when the Jalopy Journal was just starting out. The story was titled “ Lost in Heaven” .
