    Brian,
Have you thought of slicing a little off the tops of your windshield posts? Like at a 45 degree angle. The squareness just looks off to me.

First coats of Feather-Fill down! I’m leaving the heat on tonight in the shop and start blocking tomorrow.

I should be sanding, but I couldn’t resist setting the W/S frame in and gauges. Looks like a Model A Deluxe. I think Edsel would dig it.

Don't you sleep? How in the world do you get so much done so fast? At this rate you will be driving yours before I get mine in paint.

  12. He did the wagon in this past year as well. Sometimes, it's inspiring.

I had some clown on a FB Model A page tell me I was going much too fast, that it should take years to put a car together. Then he went on to say that he's 78 and has THREE unfinished projects in his garage. I have the T'bird that's been a perennial project for 16 years now, but I do work on it (in between other projects) about every other year. :p

That looks nice. There is certainly plenty of meat in those posts to slim them down, that said, I'm thinking of casting a "cap" for the upper part of the frame so as to be able to run a top. That may change if I feel lazy...

I drove mine for 20 years with the bronze windshield that had metal surrounding the glass. It is so much nicer now driving with the new aluminum windshield with no metal over the top. I’m thinking about reworking the top that I used with the old windshield so that it will work with the new one. A winter project that I’m looking forward to. 911946A6-8CE2-40B6-92F3-F72211148B0D.jpeg

I’m not sure how I’d make a windshield header that wouldn’t touch the glass (and break it). I love the frameless top, but I’d like to eventually have a top for it.

If you were a 3/8x1” bolt and lock washer, where would you go?

If you said, “Why, go right down that 1” diameter hole into the water pump!”, that’s the right answer…

  21. Oof. Not gonna' lie. This may not work .. but, a wooden dowel with a rare earth magnet screwed/glued/tattooed to its end, could fish for ya'.

I have several from 1/4" to one inch diameter.

Yeah, I have a telescopic magnetic metal one too, but the damn thing sometimes bends and attracts to other metals, too easily.

    Either way, good luck !!

I tried my magnet on a stick, and one on a flex rod. Nothing. So, figuring I had little lose, spun the pulley. The bolt and washer got chucked right out. Lucked out there.

Brian I can appreciate the exhaust as I just went through redoing mine. Like

Thanks. I've always liked an asymmetrical dual exhaust. It's from building Monogram's "Big Jag" model when I was a kid. Weird how some stuff sticks.
