Technical 1954 Chevy fender skirts loop

    Looking for some info on how to hide the retaining arm loop on 1954 Chevy skirts. I've seen a lot of skirts with and without it. Is it a quick fix or major modification?

    It can be hidden by cutting the rod and making a lock bar to click on instead of the lower part of the skirt. Here is the part that will hurt, if those are the skirts you want to use you will be sanding them and repainting. If you have a pair that needs paint than no big deal.

    Paint the loop black. It won't be as noticable.

    They make a stainless trim piece that runs along the bottom of the skirt that sits flush w the rocker trim for those 54's. Bloomers Ive heard them called
