Vintage Work Trucks

Discussion in 'The Antiquated' started by 65pacecar, Jun 21, 2020.

  1. Unfortunately that was an ongoing problem/worry. Before the advent of "Headache Racks", which i doubt would be substantial protection in a situation like that! Hate to see a man lose his life in the course of making a living!

Almost looks like that truck had one, I doubt a bulkhead and a rack would stop those logs...................................

  3. Another "overworked" truck. Work travels took me to Virginia this week. I spotted this along the scenic route back to the hotel from my jobsite in Catlett, VA. There was a private property sign on the tree next to this truck, so I just took a couple zoomed in shots from the roadside. I enjoyed the Virginia sunshine today! Tomorrow I'll be returning to rain in western Pennsylvania.

Looks like a WW2 era GMC CCKW truck.

With the little exhaust stack pipe that must have been a 3-71 Detroit.

I think that's a chimney at the factory behind the truck.

I'm not really a Ford guy, but I sure love a good old cabover.
