Hot Rods Cadillac 390 tripower on 365 hits fuel pump stand

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Walter Kristick, Nov 28, 2021.

  1. I have a Cadillac 365 engine being prepared with a 1959 Cadillac Tri-power setup. The front large base Rochester 2G hits the original 365 oil filer/fuel pump stand. See picture. Will a later oil filer/fuel pump stand fix this issue? Will use an electric fuel pump. Suggestions are appreciated.
    Thanks, Walt

  2. @caddyguy , any suggestions for this rodder?

  3. Maybe a dumb suggestion, but I'm sure you have checked that the the intake is the right way round....they will physically fit both ways...o_O

I made a flange then welded a flared peice of exhaust tube to it to take the breather.

  5. Thanks guys! I'll pass the suggestions on to the engine builder. Could a 1959 Oil filler/fuel pump stand solve the problem?

You need a 59/or 60 oil filler tube. May have to tap in the oil return from the oil filter
