As long as they have good thread depth engagement, should be good.

  4. What makes them swedge tubes, if you don't mind?

They aren’t swedge tubes. They are 4 link bars. Swedge tubes are actually swedged smaller on the ends and threaded for race (dirt) cars mainly.
    But same idea.

They were listed as swedge tubes at Speedway. You are correct, they are now 4 link bars.

For the money I would be leery, is there spec's on the tubes as in what there made from?

The ones from Speedway are shown to be 4130 .065" tubing. Doesn't sound too scary.

Those in my previous link (post #8) are mild steel. There are various diameters available and wall thickness of the tubing used might vary from various manufacturers and might be considered as being targeted to the strength required for whatever purpose they might be used on a race car.

  11. Used aluminum swedged tubes on my Sprint for years. Never had a failure.

I ordered these to spec. for my Suburban, sourced from a race parts supplier in the 90's.

I have a lathe , purchased random lengths of chrome moly dom , drill tube , drilled and tapped to correct size for rod ends . Just be cautious what tube you are using , a gutted thread or broken tube would be the beginning of a bad car day .
