Sure makes adjusting the front axle a lot easier. I think they look good too. Just hope they don’t rust.
They aren’t swedge tubes. They are 4 link bars. Swedge tubes are actually swedged smaller on the ends and threaded for race (dirt) cars mainly. But same idea.
Those are certainly different than swedge tubes I've sold, but they are listed as such by speedway. They appear to be fabricated though, rather than the normal swedged variety like these: https://pitstopusa.com/i-12639847-u...-3LSJ-5RegD-tWv5VEAx61KgyqxmsNTwaAtS_EALw_wcB Lynn
The ones from Speedway are shown to be 4130 .065" tubing. Doesn't sound too scary. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/5-8-...XqWLrgGtDgjYJdQd1dtO8YETrTUbq1BsaAo5MEALw_wcB Those in my previous link (post #8) are mild steel. There are various diameters available and wall thickness of the tubing used might vary from various manufacturers and might be considered as being targeted to the strength required for whatever purpose they might be used on a race car. Here are some actual swedged tubes. https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Swedged-Steel-Sleeve-Tube-for-5-8-18-Thread-Rod-Ends,2092.html Still nice rods !
I have a lathe , purchased random lengths of chrome moly dom , drill tube , drilled and tapped to correct size for rod ends . Just be cautious what tube you are using , a gutted thread or broken tube would be the beginning of a bad car day .
