For this year range of Fords, I think the combination of color, stance , and wheel/tire makes all the difference. Even a 4 dr can look great if done right. Some of the pics , I can’t imagine what the builders/owners were thinking. But,...to each is own.

 

I just got this 47. I've liked this body style since I was in Highschool. ( class of 64 so that was a long time ago). It looks better in pictures then it is but it's not bad. I don't know the history but some of the bodywork might have been done a long time ago. Flathead with twin 97s, 39 trans and stock rear end. Came out of New York around 6 years ago. Anybody recognize it?

 

I'm pretty sure that I've seen it on facebook a couple of times, within the past year or so. Didn't know it was for sale

 

I’ve seen the car here on the HAMB. I have a couple of pictures I snagged of it. I do not remember what thread it was on.

 

Thanks, I found the posting it's actually on this thread and got in touch with the builder. He only lives about 30 miles from me. Here it is keeping my 27 company.

 

Tell us about your coupe. What have you done to lower it? What power train is it running?

 

The engine is a 292 Y-block, transmission is a C4.
The front suspension has a stock width dropped axle and 3 leaves removed, stock wishbone, disc brakes and gas shocks.
The rear end has paralel springs and 2" blocks.

I modified it quite a bit and have it tacked back together. Hope to finish the headlights this weekend.
