You could do a suicide door conversion real easy at the same time.
Lengthening the doors will correct the only default (to me) that was on this car. Good luck.

I vote no to suicide...lengthening I'm all for...

No can read French so not sure of the discussion there...

If you do that I suppose secondary suicide latches will be necessary...and the best thing will be it won't alter the overall look when closed...

For non French speakers I told him to simply switch the left and right B post with the rear door sections so he's gonna have functioning hinges in place without having to hassle to have them aligned. Since the doors do not taper it's a breeze.

  7. Suicide doors on the back already. So no hinges on the B Pillar. Or do I misunderstand?

I completely forgot it had suicide rear doors like a merc. So yeah it's a little more complex.

This Thread is possessed ... Posts in French change to English then back to French, Vedette's name changes to Featured and back to Vedette... then I realize the aft doors are suicide...I too forgot it was a fordor...

Well when you change it too a Tudor keep the doors non suicide ... perhaps that was the plan all along ...

Big mod but well worth it and you've handled all the challenges to date in style so this will be water under the bridge soon I'm sure ...

  15. Oh yes!
Did you have to do many changes to get a straight channel for the window? Or is that the next part of the job?

I was actually trying to buy a Vedette coupe, but the guy went quiet and then told me he sold it to someone else. Grrrr.....

finally I didn’t have a problem with the window channel ! By doing the work of extending the door, it was done naturally! I just have to finish the top of the doors.. :)

The Coupe Vedette is not very successful! have no regrets! :D I prefer a Vedette 53 /54 transformed into a coupe.. it’s prettier
