Hey Gator, thanks for the pics..The Studebaker is not a restored car. It is a Hot Rod with 88,500 hot rod driven miles!! I've known Normie since 1970 and visited with him quite a bit at the Follies. The trunk was built by him in 1975 and of course I've refinished it several times. A funny note - no one ever remembers me or the 32 Stu President, but they always remember it's the car with the "box" on the back!! Attached are a few shots of my Norm stuff and a pic of verification that this car IS a Hot Rod...A good skull for my good friend Doc of Chicago and Doc from Shreveport's "The Choir", and "the pole of soul" all did by Norm...Joe

Hi' all, hope you folks don't mind me posting on this thread. I only met Norm once in 2006 when he was over here in the Uk and he made a big impression on me, what a great guy ! Since Norm passed away I have been chizzlin' away in my spare time trying to create something Norm would have liked. I would never claim to be anywhere near the talent of the master but I thought I would show you my latest effort and hope that Norm woulda' been diggin'it if he was still around.

[IMG] This ones called "Keep y'tong out !"

    Cheers Dave

Here's the one at the hot rod shop I work at. The owner of the shop was friends with Norm. He was a cool guy. I saw him driving through town one time and chased him down at a gas station. He was in his Codfather of Sole truck and proceeded to lecture me for 15 on how the NSRA really F'ed up by letting newer cars in. Good times!!
