Do you have a chassis for this? Makes me wish I'd asked about the 1912 Cadillac chassis pile at Hershey.

That is exactly what I thought. The suspension is very interesting. Is it chain drive?

Actually, the picture is from the June 19 race. Whoever wrote those notes on the photograph must have done so many years later, and mixed up the events. The person also mistook "Red" Fetterman for Eddie Hearne, and an unknown bystander for Fred Frame.

Radiator cap, the tie rod and the drag link, maybe the tension rod for the the front spring control. The front springs look like some are similar to early T front springs.

Been sorta slowly working on stuff. Found a complete White "form-a-truck" chain drive conversion for a T that should give me a complete rear drive set up, with all the linkages, turn buckles, rear sprockets, hubs and mounts, etc. No clue on what I'll do for a chassis. Was rooting around the piles at my fathers, there is a cast iron White OD trans (truck I think) which would make a good transmission. Didn't make it out to the barn, recall a bunch of front axles in the rafters, maybe come spring time I'll take the kid back to SD to see his grand parents again and will get some more rooting in. Happy Friday.

Is that White T truck conversion from the White truck company or a different White family? There is a lot of White car history on the AACA website, that is my reason for asking. Bob

Does anyone have news about how the 1923 Packard Indy 500 racing car restoration is progressing please?

^^^^^^^^^^ Thank you Bob, never knew of the Brumos collection. Are some of the MILLERS on loan or have they been on a buying spree? I may consider parting with my MILLER stuff. Bob

That #2 MILLER was once owned by Ed Roy in Boston, a while back he wanted $6,000 for it after his restoration. It has been rerestored several times with several different owners along the way.

I also recall when one could buy Miller/Offenhauser engines on offer in Hemmings for reasonable money too.

There was an Offy engine at Hershey for $15000 this year.

Doug, the text DOES Henry Seagrave. You'll also notice the post has not been edited. Have a grand day friend!

Segrave was also Dick Seaman's first racing hero.

On this day 1920 Gaston Chevrolet died at Beverley Hills when he tangled with the Duesenberg of Eddie O'Donnell. Lyall Jolls, O'Donnell's riding mechanic was also killed in the aftermath. O'Donnell would succumb to his injuries the following day. FB_IMG_1637846175656.jpg
