It’s definitely a great project and is worth your time. Plus I have only seen one other one with a Cammer 427. It’s definitely going to be a monster. There is no way to get all of that power to the ground, especially in such a light car but that’s not really the point. I’m looking forward to seeing it move under its own power. Do you have any pictures of it from back in the day and do you know what motor it used to have?

Sadly, for a Colorado car, I don't. No one local seems to either. From what I understand, it had many different combos, but they were after Kenz and Leslie for a SOHC, and never got one. So, that is the basis of my build. What it should have been, in the day.

I always wonder about the history of these Coupes. If you can’t find any significant history then you can make it your own. I love the direction that you are going with it.

I have located Tom Brown, in Pueblo, but he seems to be at a stage, where he was excited I had the car, and my plans, but not enough so let me buy him Lunch, and pic his Brain...

Wow that is very strange. I don’t know what to think about it. Maybe ask him if he has any pictures of the car from back in the day and see if he can tell you about the cars history? Also did you tell him about the motor that you put in it and the parts that you have for it?

I have tried, but next time I am down that way, I will reach out to him again. He was excited about the Cammer, though

  11. Tom had a great career as a partner in several cars. I'm not positive about his age because it was in the late 70's the last time I talked to him. He could be at the stage where everything takes a lot of effort. :)

Looks like a great project. Steel Willys Coupe with SHOC, pretty special.

@SOHC427, Your Coupe is looking great and I’m glad to see you making progress on it. Congratulations on finding the pictures of it. It’s always nice to find more history and documentation. If these cars could talk I would love to here the stories that would tell.

This is cool. Glad to see the history surface, hope you find more. Gotta keep that paint scheme and name I think.
