Projects Purchased 1940 Ford today!

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by 2bubbas, Nov 17, 2021.

  1. Bought this pretty much done 1940 Coupe from a friend! Purchased it today and drove it home. Very well built but I have found things to change to make it better IMO. Everything works very well. Runs and drives well.
I had a 1939 Ford for 24 years and this sort of takes the place of that one. 100_4422.JPG 100_4424.JPG

Very nice!! A ‘39-40 coupe has been on my bucket list for a long time. My first car was a ‘40 deluxe with an 85 hp flathead. It should feel like home to you.

I'm okay with it...is this an old Hotrod with some modern upgrades or a new inspired build...

I too, like the look of '39 headlights over '40's. It is a very nice car as is, except that I personally would be getting rid of the Impala steering wheel.

Don't keep 39 head lights, they don't look right on 40.
