The pits were soft on Saturday. Much better on Sunday . Just washed out the sand out of the frame rails last night ….a lot came out on the driveway!!!

Save it for the driveway in January and instead of being upset that it’s 10 degrees you can technically be on the beach at trog haha

  11. Those shots from trog look like a ton of fun. I miss the grille cover! Is trog 1/8 or 1/4 mile. What kind of speeds are you getting ?

  12. Passer by: I think something is leaking out of your car.
Tom: That's not a leak. This car marks its territory.

Just suggesting that even the little things about this car are cool. Your car definitely has presence. Looking forward to the next installment.

Big Tim was sure risking beard and skin when he was welding over head there. Been there done that. That's dedication.

The videography sure makes me feel part of the thrash. Good job.

  13. Was totally bored this evening....was contemplating cruising my coupe over to BS. Then the Mrs came home and put me to work around the house. Some things never change.

Day late , We had a blast !!!! I had to take the cover off to keep her from running hot . The look without the cover grew on me …. It was closer to 1/8 mile. I am thinking I was running around 70 mph ? At the big end …

    Pensive ,
Thank you ! Trying to copy the look from the 50s…… thanks for following along . Lots more to do on it . Making it safer is at the top of the list.

Tim , is a hero for sure . Never would have made it if it weren’t for my buddies ….

    Thanks

    Your alway welcome brother !

  17. Wow- 70 mph must have been quite a thrill. You could tell you were having a good time. Don’t pitch that grille cover, think of me if you want to get rid of it. Would look good on a wall somewhere.

  20. That video was great. Because we farm, and harvest is in October/November I may never get to trog while I am able bodied, so this kind of coverage is precious. Keep feeding our need please!

Looking good Tom, you missed a good opportunity to get Tom senior's better side while he was bending over manning the grease gun....while a different racing venue from South Qmaha, hoping to have the V-8 Burdick 32 running under it's own power by spring. As a one man show it's much slower progress on my end, not certain about the flathead till I get it fired up, give a shout if you hear of a backup just in case......Ron Baker

Ron, that is great news . I heard you had that car! So cool that is still around . Do know a Eric Hanson ? He is the flathead king around here . He may be a good resource for you . I can contact you with him if need be.

I would to stop by and see your build if it is available for viewing…..bring the ol man along
