I have a totally door back Bondo and Fiberglas fill in quarters. All the body lines are just filler and no metal!
Closest is SAR Roadster quarters (if they still have them in stock?). You'll have to shorten them up at the jambs a slight amount. You'll cut the roadster tops off (@Squablow needs them) and splice into the 3/w upper quarter/roof at the reveal line. Xman's build showing their use on his 3/w; https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/34-3w-my-way.834932/page-7#post-14263211
Push comes to shove you can make them if you have enough metal left to start with on the top. I know you said all filler and fiberglass but they had to have something to glue to right.
I will be looking any place I can think of. The swap meet season is pretty much over for this year. I will just do some repairs and keep looking!
I contacted Tom Bay and he sent me his catalog with e-mail. There are no rear quarters for a 33/34 coupe listed and sent a e-mail back asking about them. I noticed he has a center crossmember for a 33/34 frame. I just started a new frame with Model A front and rear crossmembers for this piece of junk so I will get a crossmember after I am done with the boxing plates. Any body else that is making 33/34 rear quarters????
Last update I called SAR roadsters to ask if they plan on making any more quarters. There web site is getting updated. They have them in stock so if you are looking for replacement they are in stock!
They made the body lines with foam and Bondo and it is up to 1/2 inch thick. I should be done before Xmas with the bondo removal! No trunk opening but the rain gutters are there! There is about a 3 inch chop that needs to be redone. This is the last one!
Can you post some pictures of your project? Interested in what you are trying to work with. SAR in Portland good people to deal with quality patch panels. Happy with what I bought from them.
SAR has a pile of them in stock. But you have to call them. The website isnt accurate. I just bought a pair last week Oops just saw you posted that haha
Contact Andy's Restoration in St Libory NE. He made 1/4's for a friend of mines deuce 3 window and has built several 33/34 roadsters from scratch and a 33/34 5 window from scratch. He may be able to help you?
This guy is worth checking out. He not only makes up complete 3 Window bodies from scratch but he also sells videos showing you how to fabricate them yourself.
I thought I was done with this but my last update is . I called Steve's Restorations and as Adam 401 posted they have the quarters in stock! I ordered a set of quarters also the two panels for above and below the trunk lid. I will still need to go back for the trunk lid as soon as I pay for all these pieces and the trunk rain gutters. So basically I bought a piece of junk for way too much money from the west coast and now I am paying a lot more to save a roof and some half doors! It is what it is and not seeing it in person has coat a lot. In the long run it does not really matter. I wanted a 3 window to go with my 5 window so fini!
The box contains the panels above and below the decklid, the decklid skin, rocker panels and cowl bottom patches. No rain gutters or decklid inner panel as this is going to be a track only car
I will be getting some rockers later along with the trunk lid and rain gutters for the trunk. I am hoping to channel the body over the frame and take the 4 inch chop and change it to a salt flats chop and keep it 4 inch for the road warrior. I have a 390 Cad and a 4 speed Saginaw. I also picked up 2 quick change rears. A Richmond and a Winters for cheap and I will learn as I go. Ed
Hey Adam41, are you putting these on a roadster, or reworking them for a coupe? Because if they're going on a coupe I could really use what you cut off, would be happy to buy the leftovers. I've actually got one of the pieces I need now thanks to Xman but I could really use a left hand side to match, but I'd buy both if I was given the chance. Coupe33 was going to hook me up but he's thinking he's going to need to use a bunch of the bodyline material to fix his car. I'm not in a hurry but I just figured I'd ask in case (or if you've got any bits of old coupe or roadster quarter panels leftover that you wanted to sell, like, literally anything, please let me know. Even if it's gotta get cut up into small pieces to ship)
I'm using them on a coupe. Once the dust settles with this build (which this is gonna be a quicky) I'll let you know what I got left
Sweet! I appreciate that. (I've been using one of your old quotes as a signature line for a while now if you haven't noticed).
