Always wanted a '40 DeLuxe coupe & a chopped '49-'51 Merc. Got them both (but the '49 Merc isn't chopped - yet). The only thing I'm Jonesing for is a little modified roadster. I have a few parts to put on that build, but it will probably never happen. I have more than enough stuff to keep me busy.
62 Corvette 64 Fury 64 Fairlane 56 Chevy And a D8 dozer to run over rat rods and Mexican jumping beans.
Never really had a bucket list, but would love to have a 40 Ford, preferably a coupe but a Tudor would do.
I own most everything I want to build for the forseeable future. Bought them all 15 to 20 years ago. We are looking for a wagon of some sort for my new bride but not after anything in particular. There is ONE item however. A Kellison Daytona coupe will be mine some day
I am also one who subscribes to the motto..."One of Each" So my bucket list is longer, but finding them does not really drive me. If I find a smokin' deal on one I can build or buy almost done, Cool. If not I just keep working & cruising the ones I got! Top 6 (right now) : late 50's Desoto 2dr ht ( Fireflyte, Firedome, etc) 57 Stude Golden Hawk 65 Riviera (preferably a GS but not a deal breaker if not) 60's E series Jaguar Conv 66 or 67 Charger Volvo P1800- 2 door. Prefer the fuel injected years, but would take any non-wagon mid 60's till the end Over the last 4 years I have purchased 2 that were on my bucket list. They are both OT : '07 XLR-V Supercharged Roadster 67 AMC Marlin A Gasser of some sort was on the list, so I bought a clean 57 Chieftan & a front axle. That is third in line to be built right now. Had most of them on my list within reason. Always loved 40 Ford's and can't seem to get past that--on number 13 I think. Also trifives-love em and have had maybe a dozen over the years-sold my orig 57 Fuely but kept her 55-never leaving-had it 44 years now. Had a couple of C1's as well. Would like to find a 61 Ventura 4 spd car though
got to add 1 more maybe 2 (alright 2) brother in law had em both in the 60s, 65 pontiac 2+2 and 57 desoto firedome coupe. I thought they were cool then even better now takes me down memory lane. by the way he still has the 65 2+2
When I was a younger man, I had a bucket list of cars I thought I would love to have. Though my list didn't look like most of the lists here, I did manage to get most of the cars (or something pretty close) to those cars I had lusted over. Over the years I've come to understand my automotive lust was only good for about 4 years of ownership before the next desired car appeared in my visions. Now that I've gotten a few miles under my belt, it seems the only vehicles on my list are the two I now have. It would be nice the get that last one in paint though. The only car that still lingers in my mind is one I've missed a chance to buy a copy of on 3 different occasions. That would be a 49-53 Plymouth 2 door wagon. If I stumbled across one in the "right" condition, at the "right" price, and at the "right" timing, I might drag one home. But really, I'm not even looking for one right now. The timing isn't right and I have no money. Those two things get more important everyday as I'm growing older. Gene
Cobra replica (with a BB Ford) AA/Fuel Altereds 1) 100 inch wheelbase with 392 Hemi Topolino 2) 125 inch transformer with late (426) KB Hemi Ford T 1933 Willys pick up hot rod Fiat Topolino (street legal) that looks like an AA/FA And I would like to finish up the pile of unfinished projects for which I have been hoarding shit for years. 1) 1934 Chev Sedan Delivery 2) 1934 Master sedan 3) 1923 Ford Modified
57 Fairlane two door post with a 429, 4 speed, and 4.10s in the rear, a 32 ford with minor mods, and a couple non hamb friendlies.
I always wanted an art-deco era Coupe. Ended up with this '40 just a few months ago. I bought and restored (or hot-rodded) quite a few cars and did the classic "trade-up" until I ended up with this.
Chopped 40 merc Chopped 41-48 ford Rolling bones style 34 ford 5 window 55/56 ford 2 door post, somewhere between a street freak and a "gasser" 70s style "fad T" with no front brakes, 15x15 rear wheels, hilborn on a 289/4 speed.. 54 f100 223/3 speed with good patina Ford gt40. Gulf sponsored paint. I'd even take a replica.
If money and storage space wasn't an issue I would like to have them all : 32-40 Ford coupes. 32-36 Ford roadsters. 49-50 Mercury coupe. Pre-A or A Porsche 356 Coupe. Porsche 550 Spyder. 53-62 Corvette C1. BMW 2002 TI. Early Jaguar E-type roadster. But to keep things somewhat real: A 35-36 Ford 5-window coupe OR a 39-40 Ford coupe (standard or deluxe).
Since I was a kid I always wanted a "39/'40 Ford coupe so that's my "bucket list" car. Over the decades I've had a lot of beaters, shit-boxes and P.O.F.S. cars... and my '39 falls into all those categories.
I'm old enough to have had almost everything on my list, including the 34 [disguised as a 33] chopped 5 window coupe at the very top of my list [still own it] but I still want a 39 deluxe or a 40 Ford coupe.
I have a long list but my top 5 since I was probably 5 is 68 Shelby gt500KR 1964 Fairlane Thunderbolt/Clone 40-41 all steel Willys, I prefer the split grill 40 30-32 model a 5 window 67 Mustang Fastback GT 390 4 speed An all steel 40-41 Willys is probably my number one currently as I know the GT500KR is out of range for good. Steel Willys are getting there as well but still obtainable around $50k at times. (If you have one let me know!) I’m extremely lucky to have just purchased 2 cars off of my list. A 31 model a all steel full fender 5 window coupe and a 64 fairlane 500 on thunderbolt styling. Coupe will be delivered this week and I am picking the fairlane up a few hours north of me on Saturday. I had a 2017 mustang Roush stage 3 with about 20k miles that I sold for really great money in this current car shortage. Selling that car paid for both of these cars and I even have some leftover parts money!
Actually, one of these little things is very cool, got the Shelby cache, small block Ford w/4spd, Dana rear and ladderbars, it'll lay you back thru all 4 gears:
