Kind of breezed through this thread, but I didn't see anything about it. Has anyone put 49 Merc tail lights on a 46-48 Ford? I've seen a couple of pics of it but I'm trying to figure out how to make the mounts for it.

Buick lights in a homemade surround molded into Olds quarters. These are on Leland Grantz' '50 Chev convert that he bought new and had Winfield work on. I wonder how many car folks notice the gas door....

 

Do not know if it has been done, but the early VW taillights are small and have a nice glass lens...would work on a lot of fat fender cars.

My grandfathers 34 Plymouth coupe had these mounted to the fenders in the late 70s..unfortunately I don’t have any pictures of it

 

Granted, they are stock, but sometimes if it isn't broken, you dont have to fix it, unless your lenses had gotten smashed in...
