Had a bit of a scare today. Me and my women decided to have Mexican for lunch and it’s about 30 miles away. No biggie we took the scenic route and headed off. It’s harvest season here in the Midwest and I’m guessing some farmers equipment knocked a chunk of the road out just over a hill and I managed to hit the hole. Didn’t feel too bad but pulled the front axle bracket clear back like a tin can! The scary thing was I didn’t notice it till we got home and I drove BACK TO TOWN TO WASH IT! I called a friend who knew a nice fella down the road with a 220 welder who later I found out I had met at a car show a few months back (small world!) And we set about to patching her up so she’d make it back home. At least lunch was good gotta love hotrods and good hearted small town folks
I dig it, I rolled a 26 sedan body next to my t-bucket to see how it would line up, the motor would've been in the cowl like that, so I decided against it, no I wish I had done it.
Is that the so called suicide front mount canvasing for its definition...glad it was just what it was a nuisance for post dinner conversation on the distribution of loads ... The roads are abysmal all over...but don't worry there's a high quality shovel full of tar coming to repair it, sorry about your luck......but again happy it wasn't worse...
SEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!....... If'n you hadn't put that durn radiator in thr front!!.......... I still miss the look of no rad! 6sally6
rad is still in the back And the shell saved his ass! Only way he noticed is the shell tipped back and hit the pulley!
Loving that ! cool ride, wish I had room in mine for a V8. . . or even a 3rd pedal so I could go stick shift !
Personally I like it. It has a bug or two but they will get worked out and are not major bugs. Granted I am a "Bicho Raro" so one must accept "las cosas se toman según de quien vengan" when it comes to my opinion. (there my incoherent rambling of the day )
Well took her out this morning and got one of my 671 blowers torn down! All looks usable cleaned a lot of the grime oil and dirt off and out of her.
Alright guys let’s drum up a chevy blower intake and get this thing smoking tires like they ain’t his!
Soooo my little hotrod is gonna need love over the winter and I hate the cold! So naturally I need a place to warm up in my old barn. I had a bunch of scrap wood and old pallets scattered about and well 2 good buddies and I went to work!! I’ve got some Loose ends to tie up like a roof and door! But it’s a solid start! Needless to say I’ve got some of the best friends around! And I won a bid on a set of old Moon disc! 40$! Score!! Hope everyone’s having a wonderful Holiday season!
Looks sharp! I did the same a year or so ago to avoid having to heat my whole shop. Great to have a space with a bench in the cold months!
