I bought a B-400 of a farm in about 1959 for $35.00. We got it running and were able to drive it away. I sold it for $150.00 because I thought it was a goofy look. As they say-to soon old-to late smart! Still working on the smart part!

 

Wow, this event is set in a cool venue and brought out some of the nations finest rides. I want to thank Dan for another lesson in photographic composition, as he truly has the handle on the settings that are easy on the eye and make the rides look their best. I appreciate your sharing brother Dan.

 

Larry (@sololobo ) - I think we all have those kind of stories or, at the very least, wish we had do overs on cars we used to have or that our family had. My dad was always finding old cars and wheeling and dealing with them. The two from my childhood I wish I had now were a '47 Chevy 2 door fastback that my dad bought for $12 (yes $12) in running condition and in pretty fair shape otherwise. Within a few weeks, he had sold it for $50 and with that bought a dull baby blue 1951 Caddy convertible with everything working and a white leather interior. The first car that we ever had with power windows. That we had for about a month when my dad sold it for $500 and used that to buy a pretty new 1960 Chevy wagon, which we had for a long time.

Thanks for the shot of the '37 Dan..... and to have it book-ended by a cool '35 3w and that ultra cool '40 woody doesn't get much better than that.

Pat Ganahl has the 34 fordor, black with white wheels. He was parked in the little triangle at the top of the entrance hill.

 

I believe it's black or dark blue, it does have a black and white tuck & roll interior, he would have probably been parked near his son Bill's Riviera. HRP
