I had the car cards that came out of the gum packs. They were the goofy show rods from like the 60's-70's like the pool table car, guitar car, etc. Wonder what happened to them?

These are neat! I didn't even know these kind of cards existed! Of course, I do live under a rock, so...

It would take a LOT of work (that I'm not interested in doing. ), but wouldn't it be kinda neat if there were H.A.M.B. trading cards? You know, have sort of a lottery, if you're picked, You submit your pics and info... Maybe have a QR code on the card that leads to your build thread or whatever. I dunno. Just thinking out loud.

But, awesome! I now have another obsession which I'll have to discuss with my therapist.

Those are soooo cool! Its like having flash cards for hot rods and show customs. You can test ALLL your friends!

 

I have a meager collection of the "Hot Rod" series trading cards - they're cool and I've had them since I was a kid. Bought a display rack from a baseball card shop quite a few years ago so I could display them.

Dam Mark, @Moriarity , that is one hell of an impressive collection of very cool trading cards !

Just looking through this thread, reminded me of when I was a kid, hanging around at the magazine rack in the grocery store, thumbing through every hot rod / kustom publication, till the manager came and said, " hey kid, this isn't a browsing library, that's why there is a price marked on everyone of those magazines"

Times sure have changed, its amazing that the print industry still exists at all !

i got these back in the '60s. the model T and '40 ford cards came in AMT kits, the others--can't remember...
