Folks Of Interest Autographs...who ya got?

LOL I have been pretty screwed up with Willie and BOB more then once, never occurred to me to get an autograph.

I was there,March 1971,The Cow Palace,San Francisco Ca. Evel Knievel and the Hells Angels(plus half of the crowd)get into huge fight over Knievels comments,anyway,I have the program from that nights event(indoor flat track)with Knievels autograph on the page with him and George Hamilton on a Harley,they were making a movie about Evel.Just the history alone makes this priceless!

 

Oh yea...and Don's on a connecting rod@Billetproof 2012,then I had the Dr. put some of his talent on it as well,pretty cool piece.

I have a Bobby Allison on a Flemington Speedway bumper sticker somewhere. This is when he was running his #22 Miller sponsored DIRT modified. I also have an old Charlie Jarzombek signed picture a guy at work gave me. I had it in my office when I was working, framed.

 

As far as site specific I only have The Duke, Tommy Ivo. I've had others but only kept his. One of the nicest guys I've ever met.

 

William Shatner. The Monkees. Big Daddy. And in honor of Holloween Freddy Kruger. And A basement wall full of others.

 

Ya know, when you ask Clint Eastwood for an autograph ya gotta ask yourself one question, do I feel lucky? Well, did ya?

I have a set of 6 books signed by Albert Drake as well as an art piece signed by Big Daddy Roth.

 

Mario Andretti..... plus I had a picture taken with him... I gotta find that picture.....

 

Not car guys but, Gordie Howe, AL Kaline, Ernie Harwell, Denny McClain. Did I mention I'm from Detroit. And of course I know who Maurice (Rocket) Richard is.

 

Wolfman Jack!....I had the good fortune to talk to him on the phone on two occasions as he was doing a live show from Planet Hollywood in Washington D.C. late in his career. He graciously took my song requests and got them on air for me. Sad day in 1995 when we lost one of the greatest voices to ever ply the airwaves. RIP, Wolfman. We miss you still...........Don.

The most expensive signature I have is the judge that signed off on my divorce, but well worth it.

 

Does my heart good to see a pic of Gene and Henryetta, and the "Don Hay Sales INC" Sticker on the decklid. That was my grandpa's used car lot on 4th and Euclid in Highland park. I think there's a tribute to my dad and other Rodders that have passed away, inside one of the back doors.

 

This would be my ultimate wall hanger. She's very distracting I know, but how many autographs can you recognize?

 

Several in the trunk of my 63 Galaxie, mostly drag racing related--Garlit's, Glidden, Linda Vaughn, Jim Dunn etc.

 

Ed Iskenderian signed some stuff and sent it to me twenty years ago when I sent him the 1963 Nationals poster which he had duplicated to pass out again. Even cooler was him calling me to thank me, but unfortunately I was at work and my wife took the call
