Technical Beyond frustrated with rebuilt 241

    Blue One. Yeah my engine builder is pretty solid. Coming out today to confirm the problem and set a course of action

    DY stick with it, that seems much milder than anything cam related.

    34 5W Paul. Gonna hang in there neighbor. Been a long lousy road but I can still see a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel.

    When the cam is reground the base circle is reduced so if the stock push rods were used the lifer may have pumped up and popped the retaining clip in the lifter out was it a preformance grind?

    Sunbeam, it turned out to be the #7 exhaust valve. My buddy only saw the slop at the push rod and not the real problem. So far it seems the cam and lifters are good and that particular push rod doesn’t appear bent. Guess we will soon see
