Yes, I know..... Look and smile, but don't touch!......

 

A few years ago, my wife owned this '55, which sported a killer Y-Block and 4-speed !!

 

I might add that before the '55, she had owned this '56. It also had a very potent Y-Block and 4-speed. She bought it from my brother, who had purchased it from a mutual friend, who was virtually the original owner. I say virtually 'cause he bought it when it was about a year old. So many mod's it would be impossible to list. One day, about 25 years ago, the "original owner came to our door in San Leandro and asked if she still owned the Ford. I didn't even know that he knew she owned it. She said yes, and to make a long story short, he now has it back...... My brother and I painted this Vickie in about 1970, and I painted it again in 1992.

 

Nice t...t....t... t-bird! that's it, nice t-bird...

 

Adding that Mercury trim surely cleans up the look.

 

One more shot of the '56 at Sears Point. Nancy was out of town, so I snuck the critter out with a friend,and went racing.....Sorry 'bout my Corvette being in the same file....

 

Thanks for the pic of a B.C. car... now it will drive me nuts trying to figure out where it lives! LOL
