way to late for me but: (Dad was a Buick tuneup mech all the days of his life but but was a Ford racer befor the war) Ford Duce Roadster (to put my supercharged 8BA in) 1950 Buick Special convertable (my first car) 1955 Buick Century (my 2nd car) 1957 Buick Century 1961 Buick Century 1961 Buick Skylark 1961 Ford starliner (with BIG BIG Ford motor) 1967 Buick 340 GS (my third car)
Like everyone else, I would like a 32 coupe. Then I make a big jump to 56 bel air. I can’t fit anything else.
On top of my long list would be finished car. Some day I would like to own and lean to drive a STOCK model t.
I've owned my bucket list cars, HighBoy Roadster, 32 3 window, 51 Kustom Mercury, were my big 3. My first car 57 Chevy was my dream car. The only exception dream car that comes to mind is a Corvette, always liked them, just never got around to buying one and one of these days I will come across one that follows me home. I received some great advice from my parents and have passed it on to my children " There Are No Excuses, Make It Happen"
The title refers to what I'd call stretch goals, not dream wants. With that in mind and barring a major cash influx, my list would be 1. Finish my '40 Plymouth business coupe. 2. Move all the backyard projects on to new homes and get a T bucket. Now if I suddenly was able to get a dream garage and fill it with a fleet, it would include my bucket cars (with Marty Strode building the T) and 1. Jaguar D-type (reproduction is fine, I want to enjoy driving it) 2. 1933 Ford cabriolet or 3 window 3. Got Gas' Chrysler 4. A cacklefest FED 5. A woody, probably a 47-48 Ford. Have to see how I fit. Maybe a similar era Plymouth, since they tend to be larger. 6. A 1967 Chevy truck. 30s-50s cabs are too tight, and I'd want something that matched the FED. Dodges in this decade don't do it for me, and this would be a great place to have a GM product in the mix. 7. Something small, light and quick for autocross. Closest to fitting here would be a Lotus 7. This is a bit too similar to the D-type, so it would be a more modern non-HAMB vehicle.
I already had 'em. (It's one good thing about being old.) A 1951 Ford (because that was the first car I ever had), a '67 Corvette Coupe (because it's the first new car I ever bought), and a '36 Ford 3-window with a hopped up Merc, a '39 transmission, hydraulic brakes, and a 4.11 (because the first "old" car I ever had was a '36 Ford). The '36 is gone, the Corvette is going, and I'm going to sink a ridiculous amount of money getting the '51 the way I want it, as it's the only car I have left that's comfortable to drive. I has some thoughts a few years ago, mainly a '53 Hudson Hornet club coupe with Twin-H and a dual-range Hydramatic and a '57 DeSoto Adventurer, but I got over it.
been lucky to have or had a bunch of cars on my list . would like to have a 57 or 61 Sunliner & a 36 coupe or open car. more realistic would be a 57-60 f100
Her you go Lloyd - and it's a factory straight axle. Lol https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/1962-ford-econoline-falcon-club-wagon-price-drop.949553/
I've built both of mine. Have had my Willys since high school ('64) and built my Ed Roth Mysterion clone in 2017. Will probably be burried in the Willys. Bucket list was to build the Mysterion, not to own it forever, sold it a auction which helped fund retirement!
X, A, or J Duesenberg of any kind, or even just an engine to tinker with, Jay Leno or somebody fix me up. JW This would do. Dr Mudd's two man indy car. Or this one
well shit No bike Lloyd posted my entire list We must be separated at birth, I’m the twin mom n dad kept in the attic and fed a bucket of fish heads to once a week till I escaped and ran away to Canada !! But my willys would have to be a clone of this one, the car that got me into hot rods , with the droopy door hinges and all !!!!!
It's always been a moving target although I've been a nut for '40 Ford Coupes since childhood. Always wanted a '32 Highboy Roadster. Now, I'm wanting a '30/ '31 chopped Model A Coupe done Highboy style on a '32 frame. A '56 or '57 Ford or '55 Chevy might keep me happy for a while. Always thought it would be fun to have an Anglia, but only for a few years. Like @chevy57dude above, a '59 El Camino is at the top of the list as well. For whatever reason, a pre-Super Beetle Volkswagen intrigues me too. Oh, and let's not forget a '60 or '61 Starliner.
Short list would be a 40 Ford coupe and a 56 Meteor Crown Vic like I had in the 60's. But looking at some of the posted pics I could expand it very easy.
Porsche Speedster Split window Corvette Any Motion car Any Yenko car A few of the Hot Rods on here. CTS-V daily driver For now it will have to be finishing the 30 model A and my motorcycles. At least till I hit the lottery.
Bucket list? One of everything? Lol. Seriously, I am on the hunt for a roadster project. But I love 68-72 Chevy trucks, old Ford f 100's 32-34 Ford coupe. I unfortunately have downsized (due to divorce) from 3 car to 1.5 car garage so I am leaning towards the roadster project. Love watching everyones builds here and get tons of inspiration and ideas. Keep it up!
