1949, 1950, 1951 Mercury Pictures

Here are a couple pictures of my Uncle's 49 Mercury

 

That is one evil looking Merc.

 

Yeah it is a pretty bad ass car. There was so many little suttle custom things on it. If I remember correctly the front bumper was made out of like 3 or 4 different bumpers.

I feel it is a very tastefuly custom Mercury, Nuthing over the top

 

Love the front bumper treatment. Nice touch.

 

Man that’s a clean two tone paint scheme and the push button door openers are too

 

That is a beautiful Mercury. Especially the last pic shows how well done the chop is.

That grille is from a food f-1 truck and modified to fit, I’m partial to the teeth in it which I used on my car. This is a very nicely done car and as smooth as they come

@Sum54ford Thanks for posting the pics....

I've always thought the side exhaust were kool. Just not enough to cut them out of my fenders. I guess I watched too many 70's movies when I was young. Lol!

 

@straykatkustoms Very cool, I’m guessing same car different paint? I got this with some other pictures from an old friend from one of the Mid Century Merc Shows.
