We had our Fall Cruz last Sat. Oct 23rd. We had 5 Tin Butcher club members and 6 others join in. It was a perfect Fall day, sunny, no wind and in the low 60's. We started in Mt. Morris and only 5 minutes out a young doe deer ran out of a bean field and rite in front of a club members 65 Valiant wagon, pushed the grille in some, no other damage but the deer didn't survive. Good thing we were only driving about 30 MPH. Rest of trip was nice on back country roads to the Palisades State Park in Savanna, Illinois. here's some pics....a few looking out over the Mississippi River from the lookout at the park.
That's a great route. Our club did almost that same run a few years back.Especially love the old pickups.
pprather,...I'll try to let ya know next time, doubt we'll do any more this year, but you never know. we've had as many as 24 cars but the problem then is keeping them all together when you're strung out over a mile....couple more pics
