Just ordered a radiator for my future 32 roadster from Brass Works. It was a custom build and Lee said it could be 16 to 24 weeks for delivery. He said the volume of orders since Walker closed and US Radiator sold has been incredible. I think that is a reflection of their superior quality.
Where did you put the radiator cap? On my AVATAR I have a pressure cap under the hood and a dummy cap on the outside. Charlie Stephens
I ordered a custom radiator from Lee at Brassworks last January. They were great to deal with and a nice product.
This is Lee's workmanship, both radiator/shroud and Spal. In my blown flathead roadster for a few years now and never puked a drip!
I put my filler cap on the left side and also the overflow tank. No dummy neck as I have an original filled shell.
I got my brass radiator for my 1927 dry lakes roadster from Lee back in July. Probably about the same wait time. Absolutely fantastic workmanship. Just a complete work of art that is so nice, that it is a shame to install it in my car. Lee has a really great company and are great to work with, and guess what, my radiator was made in the good old USA.
Bought a Brassworks for my '39 p/u 5 years ago. At the time the wait was 7 to 8 weeks. At the time Lee said he just couldn't get qualified help. Now with the added demands due to other shops closing down or relocating I'm surprised the wait time is only 4 - 6 months. BUT the quality is worth it. IMO
Just got a drawing from Lee of my radiator with dimensions. All I told him was I had a 1.5 recessed firewall with the front cross member moved ahead 1 inch and was building a FH with 409 pump. I gave him the distance from the front of the block to tip of the pump and he figured the dimension of the radiator with shroud and he said everything should work out. Great service.
