    Hello,

We had just finished visiting some old stomping grounds via an enclosed car drive by. We did not want to stop and visit outside as there were people milling around. So, a few photos was all it took and we were on our way home. But, the time was right on the 12 o’clock face and we were getting a little hungry. But, our lunch was waiting for us at home, so we drove in that direction.

During the drive to see the old haunts, we came across this very nicely built F100 Ford pickup truck. It is how we would have finished an old truck. Bigs and littles, mag wheels and a good looking stance was all that it took. The bright red color did make us do a double take while driving down this street.

A few photographs from the ever present digital camera was all that it took to showcase the cool Ford truck. Did I say that this time, it was me that saw the red blurb ahead on the road. With the dark colors of the surrounding cars and a few white ones nearby, the red color just was outstanding.

Since driving our Red 1940 Ford Sedan Delivery with a 327 for power, we were used to the stares from motorists next to us and standing on corners. This Ford truck would have drawn plenty of stares, just a few blocks over on the busy highway. It definitely was an eye catcher.

The time was exactly 12 noon and the shadows show a direct downward angle of darkness. It was in the middle of late summer and the sun was moving as it normally does at this time of the year. So a 12 noon shadow is directly below the hot rod truck for comparison purposes. YRMV

Red is trending these days @jnaki...I always had a soft spot for the 53 to 56 Ford Pickups and Panel Deliveries...Thanks for sharing the Red Express of the 50s

When I was 15 I had an opportunity to buy a 55 panel delivery for 15 dollars...yep...15 bucks...it was fairly solid and missing the steering column...I was living at home though and had no where to put it so mom wanted no part of it...so this was me when that fell through a shadowy day indeed...

There's enough light coming off that Coupe to supply indefinite shadows...

Is that your Coupe Hank? I thought yours had a Packard Grill...;)

That color scheme really works...and those flames are one of a kind and just nasty cool...
