Hamber @VANDENPLAS has acquired a Beautiful Blue 41 Mercury Eight
with some OT wheels he wanted covered up at a minimum...so I got rid of them...then did some other mild customizing...
and went back in inspirational time to visit an incredible Landmark that deteriorated long forgotten and was razed by fire unfortunately many years ago now...

Needless to say Van has some things to ponder since so many came to suggest or share covers and mods to set it back to a grander Age in Custom...I believe he's pretty excited...understandably so...;)

39 Ford Conv. A fella in Texas bought it in 1960. Started working on it then, gathered up several parts for it and put all new tires, brakes, other misc stuff on it somewhere in that timeframe. Lost interest and it became a storage shelf. Passed away without ever doing much else to it. I bought it in 2012 from the heir. It’s torn completely apart now, but I work on it when I can. 5 grandkids take priority now. Lol.

As they say, the true appreciation of art resides in the eye of the beholder.
    I behold this one.......this week.

Thanks Billy. Those were actually full color T-shirt artwork drawings that I converted to "grayscale". They were originally done with Sharpie pens, Cheap (dime store) water-base markers and some white "blackboard" chalk highlights on the orange paint;)

  22. Yes, according to the sign the car is a 4port Riley powered vehicle that actually saw track time in the mid to late thirties.

Yes in a couple of ways...Photography is truly incredible in its ability to wow as it is an Art and also in the subject matter which may be the work of Hamber @toxictom who is a master of all things in The Art of Metalshaping...

Anyone curious about that Deuce Roadster shared by Denny?...see link below...it's an interesting read and it did involve many in the know from it's creation to it's present greatness...with the Inspiration of the past at its heart...Doane Spencer's take on Hotrod...

    Thanks for the kind words.
With the exception of my cartoons for Street Rodder Mag, most of my artwork was ONLY used once for car show T-shirts and flyers...and then buried away in my portfolio...some of it for 40+ years.

It just seemed a shame to let all that all that "one use" artwork go to waste if someone can find a use for it.
